1. SPEND MORE TIME IN SALES

Are you spending as much time as possible, selling or managing the sales process for your business? This is particularly important, the early stage of the business, but it is the same later. No one can match you in terms of knowledge and passion for your business. And let’s face it, at the end of the day, people buy from people and they buy from people who know what they’re talking about, and they’re passionate about it.

2. BUSINESS IS BETTER WHEN IT’S A NICHE

Business success is all about being an expert in one core field, for one core target market. This will  help you to generate more leads plus more sales that you can even charge higher prices.

3. LAUNCH A LEAD GENERATION CAMPAIGN

Proactive marketing is one of the best ways to grow your business fast. Don’t just wait for customers to contact you.  Go ahead and find them.

4. REVAMP YOUR UNIQUE SELLING PROPOSITION

If you don’t constantly revise the benefits for why your customers should buy and choose  from you and your company, you’re actually in danger of being left behind. Let’s think of two or three things that you’re great at and elevate those things on your selling propositions and marketing material.

5. BUILD YOU REPUTATION

Reputation and public relations (PR) rarely results in immediate leads but they’re essential if you want to build long term value in good will in your brand. A leading reputation is also essential if you wanna convert more of your leads to sales. You can proactively work in your reputation by being a thought leader in your field – maybe write a book or get an article published or speak at a conference . You could also ask your existing customers for a written or video testimonial .

6. MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET CONNECTED

If business is all about who you know, not just what you know, then you need to ensure that you connect it. Social media linkedIn, facebook twitter — they are for wealth of opportunities to build your network. However, here’s a quick word of warning: make sure you built connections with value and not just sales in mind. Ask the question “How can I add value to help my connections rather than how can I sell them something?”

7. BUILD STRONG ALLIANCES

You need to identify companies to build alliances with and work on how you can help them achieve their goals, so that they can help you achieve yours. But ensure that your company shares your values and is equally committed to building a sustainable business. Otherwise you might end up being tied up with an image that is none of your choosing.

8. INCREASE YOUR PRICE

f you increase your price by ensuring you give more value to your customers, you can actually find it is a really quick way to generate revenue. Remember there are about 10% increase in price contributes more than the same 10% increase in sales but without the effort.

9. REMAIN COMPETITIVE

As accounted to the idea of increasing your price, ensure that you keep on top of the escalating increase on your cost base. Ensure that you re negotiate with all your suppliers regularly and remove unproductive people, products or processes. By Lowering  your cost base you will allow make more profit that can be re invested into growth strategies or be used to offer something more competitive to your target market.

10. ALIGN YOUR OUTCOME

Alignment needs to be on your team. It needs to be of your employees, your suppliers, your customers, everybody. Share your goals and aspirations for your business and provide them with genuine incentives to achieve target outcomes.

Good day grovies. It’s John Millar here , Im the naked business coach, stripping business back to the bare basics for you. In today’s larger than usual bite size piece is I wanna take you through 10 easy tips on how to grow your business. So quickly grab your pen and paper, grab your iPad, grab whatever it is you can take notes on today, but here is 10 super easy tips on how you can go about growing your business, sustainably and profitably.

Now number 1, spend more time in sales. It’s something that most business owners avoid. Now I don’t understand it. If you do it properly, you can be an absolute joy, and let’s face it Are you spending as much time as possible, selling or managing the sales process for your business? This is particularly important, the early stage of the business, but it is the same later, no one can match you in terms of knowledge and passion for your business. And let’s face it, at the end of the day, people buy from people and they buy from people who know what they’re talking about, and they’re passionate about it.

Why don’t you just go (it down right now) and write down right down a goal of how much time you should be spending in sales and compare it to how much time you actually spend in selling. Can you see if there’s a discrepancy? If it’s a big one, have a look at implementing strategies to free up your time, and ensure that you focus on sales. Considering outsourcing, everything but your core.

Number 2. Business is better when it’s niche.  Now if you try to be all things to all people, you will end up nothing to no one. Don’t try and be everything to everyone, Select a niche market that place to your strengths. And then build your products and services as well as the processes and reputation around being an undisputed leader for this target market. Is really a relatively easy way to separate your business from many of your competitors. Yet this strategy takes time than most entrepreneurs end up loosing patients and have a tendency instead  to launch of a brand new —- in new market – a habit I call the entrepreneur’s curse. This distraction means that you spread yourself too thin , you don’t achieve anything, except a plethora of inefficient unfinished ideas- also known as the shiny object syndrome. Now business successors is all about being an expert in one core field, for one core target market. Before you start exporting products, locations and prospectors. This will actually help you to generate more leads plus more sales that you can even charge higher prices. .

Number 3. Let launch a lead generation campaign. And what do I mean by that? I want you to think about this. Proactive marketing is one of the best ways to grow your business fast. Don’t just wait for customer’s to contact you.  Go ahead and find them. Using one of the marketing options that are available to you. And believe me, in Guerilla marketing workshop, we shape people over 300 low and no cost marketing strategies. You’d be amaze what you can do when you start to learn what you can do in marketing arena. Now it pays to be aware there’s not all about closing the signed the first contract either . It often takes anywhere from 7 to 12 contacts, before a customer is ready to buy. So mix you up your communication,ensure that you are selling to the right customer at the right time.  And for the rest , you need to work yet on how to build their needs. An have your company at the top of their list, when they are ready to buy.

Number 4 . Revamp your unique selling proposition. Competitions actually increasing and alarming and —- let’s face it, exciting right? And If you can’t – don’t – can’t constantly revise the benefits for your customer’s should buy and choose from you and your company. You’re actually in danger of being left behind. Now let’s think of two or three things that you’re great and elevate those things on your selling propositions and marketing material. But they will evolve and end some of these six attributes.

Namely: your product or services faster., cheaper, superior, easier, sca— or greater. Now when you pick usp or Unique Selling Position, is clearly articulated, I promise you, you’ll  sell to more customers, more often.

Number  5  and this can’t be understated or overstated should I say. It’s all about building your reputation. And reputation in public relations (PR) rarely results in immediate leads. But they’re essential if you wanna build long term value in good will in your brand. A leading reputation is also essential if you wanna convert more of your leads to sales. You can proactively work in your reputation by being a thought leader in your field. And maybe write a book or get an article published or speak at a conference . You could also ask your existing customers for a written or video testimonial . Or you could have other PA’s Staff or clients endorse your services on the linked in , google + , facebook, twitter , Instagram or make this guys on the social media.

Number 6. Make sure that you get connected. If business is all about who you know. Not just what you know, then you need to ensure that you connect it. Social media linkedIn, facebook twitter they are for wealth of opportunities to build your network. However, here’s a quick word of warning, make sure you built connections with value.Not just sales in mind. Ask the questions, how can I add value to help my connections, rather than how can I sell them something. If you do that you’d be caught surprise about how quickly that help an effort will turn into referrals back to you. And if electronic networking is not your thing baby, then that’s okay, make sure you build your connections through Face to face networking at conferences and other events.

Number 7. Build an alliance and in fact, I’d change that to say Build a strong Alliance. You may not already have the right database or prospects of clients to where your business with than someone else does. You need to identify these companies and work on how you can help them achieve their goals, so that they can help you achieve yours. Now the internet is in for a liberation of alliances so it’s sound likely will breaking a new ground . But ensure that your company shares your values and is equally committed to building a sustainable business. Otherwise you might end up being tied up with an image that is none of your choosing. You could proactively seek alliance relationships that customer’s supplies industry but it’s even companies that sell none competing products to your target market.  Or believe it or not the company said have similar products, but in different geographic locations of a different skill sets or in a different niche.

Number 8. More on the downhill slide now. But uh, here’s something that most people like the idea but do little about, and that’s increasing your price. If you increase your price by ensuring you give more value to your customers. You can actually find it, is a really quick way to generate revenue. Remember there are about 10% increase in price contributes more than the same 10% increase In sales but without the effort. For instance, If your profit margin say 20% , and then every 10% increase in your price is equal to 5 times that increase on your sales. You might be surprised that your customers are not as either sensitive to price as you think or depreciate the added value that you can give them for any small increase in price.

Number 9. Make sure that you actually remain in competitive. As accounted to the idea of increasing your price,ensure that you keep on top of the escalating increase on your cost base. Ensure that you re negotiate with all your suppliers regularly and remove unproductive people, products or processes. By Lowering  your cost base you will allow make more profit that can be re invested into growth strategies or be used to offer something more competitive to your target market. So the competition would you’d seem , who can actually shape off the most amount of expenses. See how you’d going.

Number 10. Make sure that you’d align your outcome and that alignment needs to be on your team it needs to be of your employees, could be at your suppliers , your customers, everybody. Share your goals and aspirations for your business and provide them with genuine incentives to achieve target outcomes. And said, as might include cash bonuses, but could be things that responsibilities, promotions , equity, profit sharing or even non cash rewards. Also don’t underestimate the pair of incentives based upon helping charities or other field with —- . People love the feeling that you’re doing something meaningful by helping enrich their lives and the lives of others . And by doing so, that will help enrich your business.
