Hi this is John Millar, The Naked Business Coach, stripping business back to the bare basics. Now today, I would like to talk to you about something that sound a little bit of selfish but it’s really not and I want you to think about it and that is the reasons why you may need a business coach.
Now in my experience in being in business since 1987, the reality is, I have noticed that most businesses will reach their plateau before they’ll reach their full potential. What’s needs to be before this happens is a catalyst for there to growth: which is usually a good quality business coach. Now let’s face it, in a competitive business environment, businesses today need to strive for efficiency and cost saving. Coaching, particularly in the field of marketing and business management, are becoming more and more common, students from school of competitive bachelor of business or similar degree of qualification are actually coming at their and starting their own consulting or coaching practices, and they’re actually assisting businesses, only with their wealth of theoretical knowledge. In this days, where University in Education is almost mandatory. There are great many people are actually out there who’ve never actually felt the frustration of having limited budgets. Being distress or depress by an uncooperative or unmotivated team will simply confounded by unforeseen circumstances that have to be worked around. Now, these types of coaches and consultant can often be left foundry with business issues that deal with something that textbooks simply didn’t deal with.
Business coaches’ aim is to teach business owners by showing how, rather than just doing it and leaving. A coach also helps business people understand that there is more to success that just knowing what to do to reach a goal. Coaches must be able to actually guide their clients in who they need to be, what they need to do and how they need to do it, so that they can have what they wanna have. Now, this are just somebody’s initial points and let’s face it, a good quality business coach is a trusted guide, with whom to share all your hopes, aspirations and confidences with and a hope that they’ll adapt to your daily needs. They’ll need to adapt your times and sometimes not just a be a mate, but sometimes a stern task master. They’ll need to be a library of knowledge and a very much a persistent motivator, but first and foremost, above all things as an educator in order to help you reach and grasp for your dream you need a knowledge on how to do it. In essence a good coach will be someone that you’re accountable to, but more that you’re accountable to yourself.
It’s just too often and too easy for business owners to actually neglect the management and marketing in their business through recurring postponement of tasks. Now sharing your goals with your mentor or coach means that if you don’t complete them and your business marketing lapses, well then your coaches will gonna know on why.
A coach is someone who will help you to refine your ideas and practice, and you are undoubtedly having great ideas. Some of these will be able to put in practice easily and other will be raw and need refinement to implement. You’re coach will have a vast knowledge of almost every marketing strategy what makes them work, and what confounds their effectiveness. Now someone that have a wealth of ideas of ideas to grow your business, has to be someone who see coach, for wherein you run out if ideas on how to sell your products and services, where for all times your coach will help you endeavor to make sure that your context is educational, inspirational, and aspirational, so that you understand the principles that can apply them for the rest of your business life. Now someone like a coach has to actually have the context that you need, when you need context for your business, business equipment, investment advice etc. That’s outside your scope of understanding of your business. They need to know you who to actually going to introduce you to. High quality of individuals, or organizations or both they can actually help you to achieve your goal.
Now that’s something I’m proud myself on. I’ve got fantastic context right through from accounting, financial planning, business insurances, business finance, and whole host of different areas. Which means I don’t need to be the expert on everything, But I need to know people who are. Now, business coach is often also someone who’s from the outside, looking in. And after a while, let’s face it, your kinda way you see your own business with the same clarity that you use to, it’s like leaving the extra busy road, after a while you just don’t hear that traffic, your coach is actually there to take a fresh look at you and your business on a regular occasion. They need to know what actually look for and most importantly see what your customer’s see and make sure that your coach actually gives you a quality feedback.
Business today is a race for productivity and uniqueness. It’s a race that has a very few rules, yet so many business owners try forcing a path through the thick undergrowth or trial and error, traditional thinking, and lack of information. They end up exhausting themselves far shorter than their finishing line. And the tragedy is that with the right business coach, they will worthy run the race, and I’ll run it with you. Creating an excellent freeway of knowledge and experience.
